Did you find another woman or is it for personal reasons?

If you just want a break, tell her that honestly. Let her know you’re still there for her and you care for her, but you just need a break. It’s not going to be easy for her to understand, but if you really feel like you have to do this, let her know. After the break, keep in contact with her.

If you’re breaking up with her, let her know exactly that. You love her and appreciate all the beautiful memories you’ve shared, but you are not ready for this kind of relationship and you would like to get to know yourself better.

If you found someone new, you’re a scumbag.

If it’s for personal reasons, there is not reason you should come across as a pig.
