What the heck was I thinking....

I recently engage in what is know as a friend with benefits relationship. It’s been 2 weeks Since the last encounter and I’ve heard nothing from him and I’m not too comfortable calling him. Let me give a little history. I met him 6 years ago and I imitated a physical relationship at that time. We have come to an agreement that we wouldn’t have a physical relationship or start any other kind or relationship without letting the other person know.

[side note: This did happen recently. A girl from his passed called and wanted to talk. He called me and told me about it. I told him that it was best that we not continue. He didn’t really want to stop because he didn’t think much would come out of it. I told him that it would not be right to her or me to do so without “really” trying seeing what’s possible if she’s someone he wanted to be with. So, I stepped aside. Nothing came out of it. He gave a full explanation to why and we continue outrrelationship]

We have been careful to take precautions from taking the HIV, STD test to birth control. So I feel that everything was on the right track.

Now after 3 years I’m not. So, I called him. I guess I’m kind of confused because I can’t imagine what could be the problem. He asked if we could spend the weekend together for his birthday, we went out to dinner, spent the next day, which was cool, because I think he’s a really cool guy. I’ve gone to such lengths to make sure that he didn’t think I was asking for more then what we had. I couldn’t imagine what has happen
