Check with your City. They usually have a youth program. Try the conservation corps, they also have youth programs. Check with your school they should be able to provide you with some leads as well. Good luck.

A sixteen year old can make really good money waiting tables at good, solid, established eateries like Huddle House, Shoney’s, Waffle House…any established family oriented restaurant is a good place to work - for teens. In most states, anyone in the teen years - from thirteen to eighteen - can get jobs waiting tables or busing tables. There is a requirement of a work permit, (very easy to obtain and file - your school or city hall can tell you where to get work permits for those under 16 yrs. of age (sometimes under 18 yrs. of age)…all you need is your guardians signature on permit…and, there is no cost involved) ; the real money is made in tips, so, don’t worry if the hourly wages are low.
