What should I do with this guy?

Okay me and this guy were datin for a looong time and we broke up and when we did it broke my heart then we got back together and someone said that I got my phone taken away and that they were my “bestfriend” and that I wanted to break up with him, and in less than a week he got a girlfriend. They broke up because she cheated on him and she was to needy afterwards. Now he is saying that he still loves me and never stopped loving me… Should I give him another chance or what should I do? Because I still love him but im scared of getting hurts again, and the same thing happening again.
