What should I do about it?

I have a guy who I dated in high school we are friends pretty good friends but every now and then he throws a curve ball at me telling me he wants to date me again or w.e I dont know what to do about it because when I agree to it and he says lets hang out on a friday nite he dissapears and then I try texting him and he dosent answer soo if he wants to date me why would he dissapear from me??? for that he should even tellme anything I tried textng him so we can meet up and talk about things but ofcorse he ignored me what should I do??? can somebody help me out Thanks
