What should I do about my ex-boyfriend?

So basically, I liked this guy a lot and we dated for a month and a half. During the end of the relationship he told me he cheated on me with his best friend, therefore I broke up with him. We remained friends and still are. While he was single he was really friendly with his best friend, like they were dating, but he would always tell me how much of a mistake he made, and that he loved me. What I don’t get is one day, he’ll tell me he loves me, but then tell his “best friend” that he wants to be with her and stuff like that. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore, because this has been happening on and off for a while since we broke up. Help me out?

Looks like he still feels guilty. He can’t continue doing this - I suggest you talk to the mentioned best friend, and sort things out. One thing this guy needs to get clear is that he is trying to juggle a best friend and a ex-girlfriend, and he needs to make his loyalties clear.
