Do you think im over reacting?

Hi everybody!! Well theres this lad and hes really close with me and I got to admit I do fancy him a good bit! Well I invited him to my debs and well anyway I only invited him as a friend not as a fancy kind of thing! But now he turned around to me and said he doesnt want to go because were not together I didnt mind that I wasnt mad or anything but what made me mad was that I thought he would at least have the decency to tell me from the start and not lead me on like that and talk to me about my dress and everything! Do you think im over reacting? He started being really horrible then saying I should have known that he wouldnt be going when he doesnt fancy me ( even though he was constantly flirting with me and asking me to kiss him ) I dont know what to do about my debs now either help!!

boys dont flirt like girls; they sometimes view it as having a laugh with a mate, whereas girls think it means the guys are interested. Yes, I think you are overreacting. Just take a break from this guy for a few weeks- he obviously got freaked out and reacted badly when he was saying all that stuff to you. So avoid him for a few weeks; be civil if he talks to you, but just calm down and let the dust settle.
