Should I leave or sit here and waste my life?

Ok so i’m 18 and my parents made me quit my internship which was paying me $10 an hour to move upstate with them literally right after my graduation the same day. I had planned to run away but I decided to just give it a chance. I’ve been here for a month now and all I do all day is sit at home or sometimes go to the library. You can’t really do anything out here unless you have a car. I had planned to go to Alabama for school on a full scholarship but my parents didn’t allow me to go there. So now i’m upstate have no school to go to and I feel like my life is going to waste. Recently I planned to run away find a job and a place to stay and resubmit my college apllication for the spring semester. Do you think I should leave or just sit here and let my life go to waste? IF you think I should what advice to you have for me to help me on my path?

Don’t understand, if you had a full scholarship to a school in Alabama - what happened to it ? Why would your parents not be supportive of you and a ‘full scholarship’ ? - Are there no jobs there or a car you might purchase ? - just wondering what the other side of this story is..at any rate, running away is not the answer..I wish you the best !!

It doesn’t sound like your parents are being very supportive.

In any case you are 18 so leaving your parents isn’t technically “running away” it is “moving out.”

If you had an offer for a full scholarship in a field you are interested in studying you are a fool for not taking it regardless of your parents wishes.

You are an adult now and you have to make your own decisions. Iit is still good to consider your parent’s wishes but as an adult now you have to make decisions based on what is best for you, not what your parents want.
