What's the difference between Northern men and Southern men?

I’m just wondering, since I live in Michigan, what’s the difference between Northern men and Southern men? Is it their lifestyles? or attitudes? or anything else that are different. Just wondering since I’m in a long distance relationship with a man that’s from Alabama. I love the way he acts and so forth. I’ve dated men from our own culture in the North but, I for some reason like the South a bit better. So, if there are any differences in between the 2 cultures of men, I’d appreciate feedback.

we got them southern gentlemen down here:) haha jk I think southerners are more gentlemenlike.. my dad raises my brother that way,.. I’ve always thought it was natural for guys to be polite and hold doors and that kind of stuff..
