What's the difference between blue and red vamp on house of night?

I love those books, finished reading the 5th one :P, well like baby bee said the blue ones are the ones that were marked by the goddess Nyx and the red ones are the fledgelings which bodies rejected the change and died but came back alive (in some way which you figure out later :D )

the books are actually amazing, I finished reading the 6th one a few months ago but the 7th one’s nt comin out til next mnth. id recommend you keep reading them, they’re really good and get better :)

Blue vamps are the originals. They can walk in sunlight andd they worship the Goddess. The Red vamps were brought back to life by Neferet in hopes of making an evil Red fledgling army and to bring Kalona back. The Red vamps tend to be more evil, some have to try to find their humanity, while others are fine with being evil. I’ve read all the books. Just waiting for “Burned” to come out soon. I hated the ending of the last book! It pisses me off how Heath and Zoey are both dead!

A saphire blue vampyre is the original kind of vampyre that gets marked by whomever the Goddess chooses during teenage years. Throughout the first book Marked, Zoey Redbird was marked but she was a special fledgeling who had a full tattoo. Well anyways the student fledgelings who were too weak to make the transformation, choked on their blood and “died” supposebly. Zoey would see the undead with red rusted colored eyes. Those undead kids were a knew kind of fledgeling who happened to have red tattoos. Steveie Ray became the first red vampyre. They are more aggressive at first with hardly any humanity left in them and fit the typical stereotype of a vampire like Dracula. If they go out in the sunlight they die. The blue vampyres don’t. Get the difference? :)
