What makeup will make my eyes "pop"?

Well, my mom has finally allowed me to wear makeup. I’m using my mom’s old mascara, I’ve already gotten some blush, but I need suggestions on the color of eyeliner. My eyes are an olive green color, and I want them to “pop” and seem bigger. I didn’t get black eyeliner right away though since I don’t want to look too trashy (I’m talking about the ‘racoon look’ which some girls do) and I thought that another color might be better, so maybe another color will suit me. Does anybody have any makeup tips?

my eyes are a fierce olive color also. it was pretty hard for me to find something that made my eyes really pop and stand out. I’ve found that the ‘racoon look’ usually only works for people with rich blue eyes, although I think it is amazing but, I for one, cant pull it off. it makes our olive eyes look smaller. useing a dark brown eyeshadow does wonders, but you should also soften it up a little with some almond tones. its best to sweap the eyelid with the dark brown first, then follow that up with a medium/warm almond or golden color(try to almost blend the two together). anf a very neutral and sheer almond color near your brow line and right under your lower lash line. this is just to give your eye the extra sparkle. I’ve found that luxiva by merle norman have great tones for this. and as for the mascara and eyeliner its great to use a the darkest brown that you can find. line the top and bottom of your eye. it isnt he least bit difficult, quite easy actually; it just takes practice and you can always start over if you mess up. its easier to aply the eye liner then the eyesadow and then the mascara. its necessary to mascara on the top and bottom lashes. I hope that I’ve been some help (:

Why don’t you just leave off the make-up and have that natural look. Will make for a prettier girl. Beauty is only skin deep anyway. It’s what’s inside that counts.

Answer #3

black make-up will not make your eyes pop out. you need to use a beige color on your lower lid, and a beige color on your lid. black makes your eyes appear smaller.

Answer #4

use dark brown liner or charcoal, u can also you black eye shawdow or dark brown eye shadow. By a smudge brush or buy eyer liner that has a smudge applicator on tha tip. Smudging it will make your eyes look sexy but soft at tha same time. I was a beauty supply manager for 6 years. But don’t put too much on though

Answer #5

If you want your eyes to pop and look bigger, never wear dark eyeliner. It makes your eyes look smaller. Bright colors, brown eye shadow on your upper lid would look gorgeous with your green eyes. Earthy tones

Answer #6

u should use black eyeliner…jus not heavily…no blush!!! trust me…i think blush makes ur face look bad!

Answer #7

Thanks for the help guys! :D Yeah, I think it looks pretty gross when you wear too much makeup, I’m barely putting any on.

Answer #8

since your eyes are more of an earth tone it would be best to stick to more of the earthy colors or a shimmery purple (plumb). The colors you should look into are; plum, copper, rust or a really really light black (almost grey). This will make your eyes really pretty. My eyes are the same color so trust me it does work. TO MAKE EYES SEEM BIGGER WHEN DOING SMOKEY EYES MAKE THEM ALMOST LOOK CATISH BUT NOT THAT MUCH THOUGH.

Answer #9

i have green eyes and i use dark blue and medium purple eyeliner. If you blend it in and put on just a thin line, it looks really sexy & it makes the green stand out. i usually put a line of purple on the upper eyelid and blend it in with a qtip, than i put dark blue (covergirl has the best one) underneath and i blend it in, than put a coat of mascara. I get tons of compliments on how gorgeous my eyes look!
