What?? Love problems helppp?

Theres this guy whose my friend and I’ve known him since high school and now were in college, he was a good friend with me and my ex and knew all about my last relationship [me and my ex broke up a month ago], but since we broke up his been more closer to me and I then figured out he likes me but it was more than that, he liked me way before me and my ex even got together..

My friends have told me his better than my ex and I know that cause I’ve talked to him about his girlfriend and I know how his like and his really sweet, but my bestfriends have told me im emotionally unstable right now and should just be single for awhile to get over my ex properly… I also did wanted that but then I sometimes get this feeling I want him to be there with me but then I get this feeling I only want him there cause of my ex.. maybe because my ex likes this other girl in less than a week we’ve broken up that I wanted someone to be there for me…
