What kind of microbead extensions would suit me best?

Hey everyone, I really want to buy microbead human hair extensions off ebay, but I’m concerned I will purchase the wrong item for me. I don’t know what exactly grams are for extensions, I know it has something to do with the thickness of the hair. Now I have fine hair. Actually very fine hair. I want 20inch extensions, but how thick should I get them? My hair comes just below my shoulders. Can anyone give me advice? I know some of you would say go to the hairdressers and ask, but I don’t have very good knowledge of the best hairdresser around my home town. So anyone please? Thanks heaps. Sam.

The thickness isn’t THAT important. Pay more attension to the colour. Now I’m a guy, but I had a girlfriend who was doing that stuff for a living, so I’ve seen lots of it.

I think the most cool thing is to get like pink hair, and have that clipped on under YOUR hair. (Pink is a cool colour to combine if you’re blond). And I don’t think I ever saw people buing that hair to get longer hair, but to get it fuller.

But you should really talk to a hairdresser. Find some in the yellow pages and call them up and ask.

Hey Sam! I don’t know if you have already figured this out or not but I am a Licensed Professional and I have been doing extensions for over three years now. The weight of the hair does have to do with thickness. Because you have fine hair, I would generally not reccomend Links because they are a bigger bond and in your hair type would be more prone to showing. However, you will need to buy I-Tip hair. Make sure the color is correct. That is probably the biggest thing to worry about, make sure it matches what you are going for. If you desire volume you will need around 300pcs. if its just length around 180-200pcs but if its both then go with 300pcs but 20-22” long. Also, do not try to do this yourself or have a friend do it for you. I have had so many people come to me with a mess of hair that was so tangled and knotted we had to cut chunks out … and that is no fun! I hope this helped!
