what kind of indian am I?

my mom told me im part indian she doesn’t know I can do the apatche whoop like quick killer in the video game gun. but my aquiantance from middle school is indian and think’s im chrerokee which is it apatche or chrerokee?

you have to trace your family roots.you can type your last name at google and the history on the name and get some answers.

…so your people come from India? OR are you part Native American?

You can talk to the tribal councils for various Native American peoples and then get the scoop on how to prove your ancestry, etc, depending on your heritage, you may (or not) be eligible for registration, participation in profit sharing if they own / operate a casino, etc.

Either your mom or dad (or grandparents, if they are around) would be the very best place to start, as your surname might not be the one which gives you the information, eg, if your father wasn’t the person, but your mother & you carry his last name.
