What is your Favorite Biblical story?

What is your favorite Biblical story? For me I have more than 1:

When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead(John 11).

The Feeding of the Five Thousands (John 6:1-15 /Although that miracle was performed twice-later with four thousand on Matthew & Mark).

The Exodus (book of Exodus).

The Woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8:3-11).

Jesus throwing the Merchants out of the temple (Matthew 21:12-13).

The Sun & Moon stood still (Joshua 10).

The story on 2 Kings 2:23-24 “Then he went from there to Bethel: and was going up the road, some youths (in some versions says: boys) came from the city and mocked him , and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them , and pronounced on them a curse in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them”.
On Zondervan handbook to the Bible says: “ Boy in Hebrew can be any age. These were young men-local louts, yelling abuse at the prophet and his God, telling him to go up like Elijah”.

And from a time looking at this story and of Course I think that’s right ..because Elisha was with Elijah when the chariot of fire took Elijah to Heaven and as his succesor It was now Elisha who was prophet been given to him a double portion of Elijah’s spirit.

I like the story of the thief on the cross beside Jesus who simply recognized who Jesus was and simply asked Jesus: ‘Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom’ - notice it wasn’t ‘being a good person’ that gained him entry to Heaven, it was his recognition of who Jesus truely was, his own unworthyness through sin, and ASKING Jesus ‘remember me’ - he knew he needed a Savior !! - Jesus replied: ‘TODAY shalt thou be with me in paradise’.

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

…the wisdom in that story is immeasurable.

Answer #6

The story of Job I like it too, cause it tells that no matter what happens on life, all the sufferings, sickness or everything you loose ,if you continue with Faith on God/ Jesus He will reward you all you lost & eveen more than what you loose. My life is an example of it. My close friends know it. Suffering is what makes us strong and polish us to be like and shine as gold.
