What is wrong with my mouse?!

I have a wireless mouse and it works great…most of the time. I noticed sometimes it doesn’t move at all when I move it, or I’ll have to move it in a thousand quick movements to get the cursor to move like an inch. I know it isn’t the batteries because when my keyboard is wireless and hooked up to the same sensor and it works fine. Also, if I don’t use it for a while when it starts to act crazy, I’ll come back and try it a while later and it’s back to normal for a little while until it does it again. This happened a couple months ago and went away on it’s own. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I need to do?

Is something blocking the eye?

No. The eye isn’t blocked. My keyboard works fine and for the moment my mouse is working again too. So weird.
