What/ is to love someone and to be in love, two different things?
My friend and I were talking about this and she thinks they are two different thing and so do I. Its jsut that I don’t know if my boyfriend knows that and I don’t want him to say something that he doesn’t mean because he has said that he loves me and that he is in love with me. So do yall think they are two different things?
Yes absolutely. To love someone is to care about them, to worry about them, to want whats best for them, and want them to be happy. Right? (there are many more things you could add to the definition of love) but that’s much different than being “in love”. You love your friends but you’re not “in love” with them all. haha.
When you’re “in love” with someone, in my opinion, you do love them and all of the things that define “love”, but theres so much more. You’d get the feeling that you just want to be with them all the time, that there could be nobody better in this whole world, that nothing could get in the way of how you feel for that person. That if that person’s sad, you’d do anything to make them happy again. Even if that means hurting yourself to accomplish this. It pretty much comes down to putting them before yourself no matter the cost…all because you care for them so much.
Of course, everybody would define this differently, that’s just a simple version of what I believe. Hope that helped even a little bit.
to love someone is to feel close to them, eg your best friend or mom, or even a celebrity youve never met, to say you love them is just a phrase to explain how much you admire them. to be in love is intimate, its to feel such strong feelings for someone that you find yourself thinking about them always and smiling all the time, You’ll know the difference when youre in love with someone, you need to experience it to see just how different they are
