What is the most popular dog breed in the United States for 2010 ? I think in 2009 it was a Labrador, But what is it for this year?
jlw82 typed pretty much what I was going to say about the GS moving up in ranks, but an interesting fact = it’s been 19 straight years that Labs have held the number one spot.
According to the American Kennel Club, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog of 2009, and has been for many years now. The German Shepherd overtook the Yorkshire Terrier for second place and may beat the lab in 2010 for the title of most popular dog breed.
