What is the greatest book that you have read in the world?

There is no The Greatest Book. But there is A Great Book. There is no one great ultimate absolute book that will take you on the greatest adventure that a literature can take you to or one absolute book that has the final say on any discipline, topic or issue. But there are many great books. You should really read as much as you can on any topics.

So for example you want to learn philosophy. I see that you are a young girl. Sophie’s World might appeal to you. It is written in the form of fiction. The protagonist is a young girl. It starts with the basics of philosophy. So after you read this book do not stop at that. There is no one book that can cover all of philosophy or any other subject or discipline.

Read what is deemed the classics in all its different genre: fiction, poetry, , history, philosophy etc… Shakespear is hard to understand, it is best seen as a live performance play or on video.

Acquaint yourself with Greek literature for Greek culture is partly a foundation of the Western World. Such as Homer, Plato, etc

Also check out books from other countries translated in English(assuming that you read English and that is the only language you are fluent on).

Do not hesitate to venture into “serious grown up books” provided you can understand it. Check out your encyclopedias at home or library.
