What is the differnce between discharge and a yeast infection?

They can look about the same, however, it’s not normal to itch or feel sore, it’s not normal to look swollen or red, and the amount of the substance is important. With a yeast infection, the amount of the substance is noticeable. It’s also usually pretty thick and white, whereas normally it should be thinner and varying from clear to white, depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle.

If you suspect you have a yeast infection, don’t have sexual contact, as you can spread it, and see a doctor or talk to your mom, if your comfortable. They’re fairly common, and you can get the right medicine over the counter.
