What is the difference between a cashback program and rewards?

What is the difference between a cash back program and a rewards program?

Answer #1

You answered your own question. Rewards are built by points. Such as however many dollars spent is 2 points for every dollar. You accumilate points and then you get a choice depending on the number of points you earned. Money back is basically you get a percentage back to your card for each let’s say $100 spent you get back 5% as a credit. I used to work for a credit card industry a very very large bank. They are designed to get people to sign up and “spend”.
