What is the circumferance of the earth?

Answer #1

At the equater, which is the longest measurement of the circumference of the earth, the distance is 24,901 miles…however, of course, the circumference is different north or south of that point :)

Typically in school they teach you the Earth is 24K miles around, not sure why, as rounding up you get 25K miles…this also explains why we might eventually move to a 25 hour day :)

Answer #2

The Earth’s circumference is 40,075.16 kilometers or about 24,901.55 miles.
