A boy grew up without love. No love from peers, no love from parents, or silbing (if there were any.) Therefore, he does NOT know how to love anyone himself. He gets a girlfriend or someone close to that. He doesn’t know how to love her, but he thinks he does. He thinks by raping and abusing her, that he is actually loving her. But that is not the case. Hannah, the girl they mention, is child that the boy, or man, and the girl has. Hannah is the mother’s regrets. And the boy/man, realizing what he did was horribly wrong, committed suicide by laying in a bath tub filled with kerosene as it lights on fire, becoming “Full of glow flies.” Hope that helps.
