What is it like to audition for American Idol?

I heard it is a LONG tedious process. Has anyone actually been there that could tell me what REALLY happens? Is there anyway you think to prepare?

My brothers went there and they said it is very long too. only reason they didnt make it is because they needed to work on their stage presence. if your going to you should practice that too.

I havnt been but my friend has and from what I hear it is very long!!! you have to register than wait…than wait somemore…lol I wud bring something to do that doesnt involve using your voice…su you dont wear it down!!! and stay calm because you cud be really good than get nervous and it cud ruin your chances!!! so stay really calm and do something to take your mind off it…r you really going to try out …thats so cool!!!
