Who thinks having your lip and tongue pierced is excessive?

Firstly, that’s GREAT tha you don’t care what other people think.

Well honestly you need to ask yourself that. Do YOU think it’d be excessive because everyone is going to have something different to say about it. Someone may think 2 is excessive, but someone like myself may think 30 isn’t.

Well you’ve already got your lip done, so the tounge won’t make you look any worse at church. Cause it’s not like you can outright see the tongue piercing vs the lip, and pretty much all church-goers I know think that piercings in general are wrong, since “god didn’t put that whole in your body it’s not supposed to be there” blah blah blah.

Also you can find a decent guy if you have it or don’t. Theres PLENTY or decent guys out there, it’s just a question or if they’re pro or anti piercings haha. Besides when you DO find a guy if he REALLY loves you he’ll accept the fact that you have those piercings.

People are offended cause it’s how they were raised, and their personal opinions. Like my dad thinks they’re offensive because it’s un-natural, and because ‘’god didn’t put that hole in your body’’. Well piercings like the lips and tongue are generally considered ‘’skanky’’ because most people associate them with oral sex.

I know how you feel though I have about 30 and I get told offensive stuff all the time, and it did hurt at first, but then it sorta clicked in that this is what I like and that I shouldn’t give a damn what others though, because if someone was meant to be a part of my life to be my friend or whatever they’d accept it and love me for me even if they didn’t like or agree with all the piercings I have/had. You just really have to brush it off. =]

It’s really up to you though if you want to get it done or not. It’s your body, and your opinion is the only one that matters. It’s really not that painful to get done. Actually piercing it dosen’t hurt at all, it’s the healing afterwards that does. I found that it was just more uncomfortable than painful though. Tips: don’t get it if you don’t want to damage your teeth or gums (or if you can’t afford to fix it) they can really mess up your teeth sometimes and even make them fall out. Oh and if your scared of swallowing stuff. I’ve had the ball on top come undone a few times just from eating and I’ve ended up swallowing it haha, it’s happened to my friends also… Oh and make sure you check the place you want to get it done at REALLY we’ll. The last thing you want is for the vessel to be pierced like said above it can have VERY serisous repercussions if it goes un-noticed, and you have to make sure the place is super sterile!

it isnt excessive .. sorry I didnt read your whole thing .. but I have my nose done 2 times my lip once my tongue and my cheek … that just whats on my face and mine dont look bod together … you just have to know what type of jewelery to put in .. :):)

they are piercings, you can take them out whenever you want.

get it done :) and tounge isnt so out there because you cant see it when your mouth is closed lol.

Well I dont have any piercings, although I would LOVE to have a lip piercing and maybe a nose piercing, but my parents are the major church type. I love going to church too but my parents are all “No false holes in your body” or what ever.lol. I think, and no offense at all, that it might be a little too much if you have your lip AND tongue pierced. One time this lady my mom knows got a tongue piercing and the stupid a** people who did it pierced a blood vessel. and for like a week her whole mouth hurt so she went back. and when the people unscrewed the lil barbell or what ever , blood came friggin gushing out of her mouth! She said she was so freaked out she that she was ganna die! LMAO and on top of that, they told her “If you want we can pierce it again for free” ha ha ha
