What is "Fat" and "Skinny"?

this is really dumb, but what REALLY makes a bigger person “fat” and a smaller person “skinny”? if you really think about this, you can always put someone whos bigger next to someone whos smaller, and the smaller person could still be “obese”? im 13 years old and weigh about 120 pounds and am 5 feet and 5 inches. does this mean im fat or “large”? truth only please

Good Question. Every person has a different Body style… tall, short, long waisted, long legged, / short waisted, short legged…Not to mention the different Bone structure. I am medium boned. You may have small or large bones. Measure your Wrist. If you are 5’5” you are small boned if your wrist is less than 6.0”. You are medium boned if your wrist is 6”-6.25” …You are large boned if your wrist is more than 6.25. A med or lg boned person can never be naturally / and a healthy thin as a person who is small boned. What matters is your BMI. (Body Mass Index). In your case your BMI should be about 20.0- which is EXCELLENT! Pounds don’t matter when your bones weight more than someone elses. Not amount of healthy dieting/ eating will decrease your bone weight. (also muscle weighs more than fat) That is why it is best to go by your BMI. But if you want to feel your best, work out to build muscle. It will keep you toned and firm.

I’m 5’6 and weigh 155lbs… I’m not fat.. I’m an average size and I have a lot of muscle muscle weighs more than fat.. therefor you either have no muscle or your petite since your about my height and your only 120.. that is closer to underweight than over but it is a healthy weight anyway

Fat and skinny shouldn’t even be in the dictionary. Everyone has different body types…obese matters and doctors can help with that. You should be slapped for thinking your fat at your weight and height when you know good and well that you’re not. say that in front of someone that is really overweight to obese and see what happens…

Answer #4

uhm the bigger person isnt necessarily “fat”, they’re bigger… which doesnt equal fat… and obese is a technical term, you have to be above a certain body fat percentage to be considered obese.

and no you’re not fat…
