What is easier to learn, electric guitar or acoustic?

I have player for 5 years and I started with electric becasue you can play any style and eventually if you have the intrest or money like I did to buy an acustic do so… but depends on what style you want to play ESP Schecter Ibenez are great metal guitars Fender Gibson Epiphone are good alround guitars and loads of others hope I helped

accoustic are better to start out on. because they toughen up your finger. and most electric strings are pretty sharp and if your fingers arent hardend you will just cut your fingers

When I was learning I found electric heaps easier. The strings are a lot easier to hit, and the guitar itself it thinner making it not so hard strumming, As long as the amp settings are set to a normal mellow sound and not distorted, you can’t go wrong with a electric. Another thing is, when your on an acoustic they rip your fingers to shit after an hour or so of playing because their not used to it…

Well, a guitar is a guitar. Money-wise, I’d say get an acoustic. Its cheaper and if you decide you don’t want to play it its less money wasted.

You can also pick out sounds a little easier on an acoustic.

personally I found learning the acoustic a lot easier and once I learnt that well I went onto electric… but you cant get a simple answer because every one is different and have different learning abilities… if ya get my meaning… but why dont you try them both out and see which works out best for you… hopefully ill be wanting your autograph in a couple of months time :P best of luck Angel x x x

What do you mean, “learned guitar in one day?” I doubt you learned every chord, every barre chord, every cowboy chord,the fret board, how to reads tabs, how to read sheet music, etc etc, in one day. You’ll always be learing new songs as well, new tricks, new scales, so on and so on.
