What is appropriate to wear to a wedding?

I have been invited to a wedding which takes place in about 3 weeks. I have never been to a wedding before, so I’m new at this. What should I wear? I know the commonsense things like don’t dress slutty, but does anyone have specific suggestions? Do I have to dress up really formal? The wedding will take place outdoors in a nice park near a big lake and the weather will be warm. The invite doesn’t specify how formal it is. Thanks in advance :)

dressy outfit no jeans or anything like that and you cant ware white because the bride will ware white

a nice spring dress with a cardigan always works for spring/summer weddings. you can dress it up with a nice pair of earrings and necklace. soft makeup and a nice pair of dressy sandals.

I’d wear a summery effect cocktail dress in pale yellow or any pale color, cork/wood-heeled wedge and a huge hat that may protect you from the sun rays.. Ü lil accessories like drop earings and a simple ring will create that lady effect with formal touch! and the clutch bag has to match the wedge and the dress well, of course..

Just wear something smart. Formal is just a specification to make sure you dont turn up in jeans and trainers but you could make this a brilliant chance to bag a new outfit, its nearly summer aswell. Just have a look on the internet, for something that you like that will suit your body shape. Dresses are always nice or even a cool high waisted skirt. Just make sure that it is respectable, and that it wont blow up to reveal your bum in the back of the brides wedding photos! Hope I helped, +& have a lovely day.
