What is a good way to help a swolen monroe?

its basically just the right side of my upper lip. the only thing is its not just the skin around the peircing, its the actual lip. I know its only been 48 hours but im just a little concerned because I look funny =/

Again, your body reacting to the self infliction by pumping fluid to the injury to help fight off infection. Just keep an eye on it. Did you go to a professional to have it pierced? They should have given you a set of instructions on the care of this.

dont touch it at all! like never, not even a bit! not even the stud! do not put your fingers anywhere near it! not even once! just leave it and it should go down, if it dosent then see a doctor. I got the top of my ear pierced and it got so infected that I had to have surgery to remove it. like seriously, dont even touch it a bit.

Swelling is normal with any kind of piercing. Make sure you’re cleaning regularly. Wash your hands before and after you clean the area of the piercing.

A good solution to use is saline and you can make a similar thing yourself by placing a pinch of sea salt in a 3/4 full glass of warm water. Dip cotton wool/buds in it and hold onto the piercing and the area surrounding it for around 10 minutes. Try and do this no more than twice a day.

Its normal, when I had my lip pierced it was swollen for a week. I kept ice on it and it seemed to help but only time will make it go away.
