Well first of all, you have to get him tired enough so that you’re able to teach him a new game. You can do variations on fetch games. One that makes them VERY tired, is using two dummies (the kind you use for hunting dogs)…You stand in the middle of a large area, with both of them…throw one dummy, as he is returning with it…just as he’s nearly got it back to you, you throw the other dummy in the opposite direction that you threw the first one. The second your arm goes up, your dog will automatically drop the one he’s carrying, and go after the other one (it’s normally an automatic thing, but some dogs get greedy and want both, so you might have to work with him on that part, if he’s a greedy type)…

This will take the stink out of a dog in short order.

Do what the dog whisperer does. Get a pair of roller blades and have him pull you around the block. That would wear him out.

or sit on a skateboard and tie rope to the front trucks and to his collar and he can pull you haha.

if hes a small dog, get a beanbag and plop him in it. my maltese loves her beanbag and she runs up and jumps in it and goes splat hahaha shes so funny.

you can make ‘toys’ out of anything around the house. if its a big dog, then get a small cardboard box and put some food or a treat in it and make your dog sniff it, then they will spend like 10 minutes getting the treat out.

or spend some time training him to do stuff for you. like taking dirty clothes to the washing basket or put your shoes/toys/clothes away haha.
