What is a good food for losing weight?

I saw your post on how you lost 25 pounds. Im in highschool and weigh 155. Im not fat, but im definitely overweight. Im only five foot one. And I should be around 130, to be healthy. Does eating salads help? Lunches in schools are so hard to get because you dont know whats good. So I get salad. Is that good or bad?

salads dont fill me up at all, they taste pretty good when ya got some good dressing, but I dont feel full. I agree with the water guy, just completely substitute alll other beverages with water,and that alone should take a few pounds off. other than that,, running just like a mile every other day or so would also help immensely, especially if your not active in any sports at the present. jsut doing that’ll take a few lbs. off a week as long as you stay away from liek peanut butter,, things high in sodium, and you could just eat a lunch eat sandwich for lunch, just dont get white bread.

Depends what type of salad you are eating. a Cesar salad from say Mc’Donalds has more fat then a full BIG MAC value meal. Salads also contain empty calories; while small calories they don’t really supply the nutrients needed to make you feel full. You are better off eating lean protein. (Turkey, Chicken, Fish, Buffalo (if available in your area) Just remember a serving of meat is only 3 oz about the size of a standard deck of cards. Eat the protein with a serving of vegetables and fruits and maintain an active life style. (Sports, running, swimming, jogging even walking helps) If you want to see the weight drop even faster start working out, do lots of cardio and palates.

Celery works as well. :D But no peanut butter or caramel added. Just. Celery. xD And drink bunches of water. I think iced water is best. I lost 6 pounds in a week drinking water. Cut soda out of your diet COMPLETELY. When you drink it, it’s tricking your body into thinking that it’s quenched, but it’s really not. So you keep drinking it and drinking it…Does that make sense? lol And just running helps. You could run around town while listening to your iPod or something. Oh, and don’t eat out at fast food places, no greasy foods, none of that. I wish you luck, my friend. Hope this helps. :]
