what is a B side

what is a B side

Answer #1

The term B-side comes from the time of the vinyl record. The vinyl record had two sides, usually called A and B. The first half of the album would be the A-side, the second half the B-side. So, an album B-side would simply be a track from the second half of the album.

Basically it refers to a song that is not on an album but appears as a single .

Answer #2

The band Antrax put out a CD called “Attack of the Killer B’s.” Besides being a great CD, the concept was a ‘greatest hits’ of sorts for all of their best “B-side” songs. The end result is definitely worth a listen. :)
