What if I am just haveing a light period?

Okay, so I am sexually active but we always use a condom and they have never broken or anything. I last had sex about three weeks ago and when I got my period this month it started out normal for like two days and then it got really really light. But over all the “period” lasted six days, is there any chance I could be pregnant? Or is this just a normal thing?

Dear, kaitlyn15,

It is possible your pregnant. Reason being, implantation occurs between 6 to 12 days after the egg is fertilized, meaning you could have implantation bleeding, meaning the egg fertilized, meaning you could be pregnant.

Since you said you had sex 3 weeks ago, in about a week, go get a pregnancy test and you will get an accurate answer.

Good luck!

Answer #7

like I haven’t had any other symptom things like darkening of the nipples, morning sickness, headaches, other stuff. ha ha I’ve read a lot about it. that can happen shortly afterwards.

Answer #8

Well, that happened to me too. I still went to get a pregnancy test and it said negative and then we had sex again and about a week later, I got my period.

I suggest you go get a pregnancy test just in case. Go to a near by clinic that does it for free. It’s worth it! It’s better than wondering and waiting.

Answer #9

yeah true, were not doing it for awhile either. I don’t like being paranoid all the time and he doesn’t like too see me stressed out. So, I think I will do that, thank you. :)

Answer #10

No protection is full proof, so even though you used the condom there is still about a 3% chance that it didn’t work correctly.

The only way to know whether you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test 2-3 weeks after having sex. I suggest that you do so now.

Oh and if you aren’t pregnant, why not consider using the condom and an extra form of birth control like the pill with it? That way you’ll have a double protection and no future pregnancy scares.

You can get birth control for free at Planned Parenthood (if you are in the USA) or at any free government clinic.
