Just wondering...at the end of the year my mum is taking me to Vancouver, LA & New york. I'll be 18 then so would I be allowed to drink and get into clubs and stuff. Or does the '21 rule' restrict that?
not sure about canada you maybe able to drink there at 18, but in the U.S. not a chance, you must be 21. you cant go to 18 and over clubs which you will enjoy b/c most of them will be filled with 18-20 year olds so mostly all the people will be in your age group(very few people who are 21 and older goto 18 and over clubs b/c they either dont have very must alcohol if any and they dont want to be around teenagers).
Most clubs where alcohol is served require you to be 21. Same with casinos. There are 18 or older clubs, but you won't be able to drink in them regardless. Have your ID on you at all times because you will get carded. Have fun :)
In Vancouver you need to be 19 to even enter a bar, but you will be allowed to enter a pub - you just can't drink.
I think you'll be able to go into clubs but you wont be able to drink until your 21.
