What genre of book would this be?

Hey, I was wondering if this would be a good enough for a book opening and what genre you would class it as;

I am alone. A shadow. Melted into the chaotic, rampaging blur that is our world. I barely rustle leaves as I walk by, I do not ripple water if I dive into an ocean. I am a ghost of what I was and what I have become.

In life, we all want to find something; love, friendship, happiness. We never search for darkness. And we always end up getting more than we asked for, but, that’s humans for you! I hated my lifetime wish at first. It was a curse.

I am invisible, I disappear as I walk the harsh, dark streets of LA, lights brightly blinding, blinking neon. I am rushing I feel the cold wind whisper in the ears as I move briskly on. An alleyway. I steal into the darkness. I am not alone. A mysterious figure, an attractive male. He continues from the other side of the alley. An icy-cold sensation tingles through my spine as he brushes past. He turns to look at me, I pass him a glance from over my shoulder. He grabs me! He wraps his arms around my waist a pulls me sharply into his chest. He pushes his face close to mine so I can see into his cold, grey eyes. He seems about to kiss me but reaches for my neck. Sharp, fang-like teeth sink deep into my neck and he sucks the life out of me…
