What does this mean, is it a normal miscarriage?

I looked at medical websites that informed me about the correct info as to what to expect after a miscarriage.

Most of the questions on here, I’ve found the answers on med sites.

However, I can not find something involving one bathroom trip of a lot of blood, and light spotting, and clotting.

Yesterday at about 4am. I went to the bathroom and enough blood came out to turn all the water in the toilet red (but still transparent). For half the day there was light spotting, and clots.

However, I can’t find anything about just 1 bathroom trip of heavy bleeding, followed by light spotting. Everything is about long term heavy bleeding. So I really don’t know.

If you’re that early, are you sure you were pregnant? Are you sure it’s not just your period? Did you have a positive pregnancy test?

If you’re sure you were pregnant, it’s a good idea to get checked out by a doctor. You should be talking to your ob/gyn about this- they’re the real experts and will be able to talk to you about what is going on.

I have an appointment in 2 days. So I will ask then. I just want to get some ideas before then.

Yes, the test was positive.

If it was my period, then I haven’t had anything like that ever in the past 10 years.

It also depends on how far along you are…if you’re very early in your first trimester, the miscarriage symptoms would be less severe then if you were a little further along, and you probably won’t even see an embryo, since it would be very small and not quite formed - it would be like a clot.

I am within the first month.
