What does the Space Lab do?
What does the Space Lab do? We are spending money on the thing and I have no idea what its purpose is or what they are doing up there. Is NASA waisting our money?
The conduct scientific experiments to benefit all man kind. Many inventions that were made by the space program have later been commercialized, which funds a portion of the program. Eventually, as more & more scientific discoveries are made, it’s more than likely going to be entirely self funding.
As to the “what are they doing” well, people have been exploring their environment as long as people have existed. Taking it a step further, they’re now trying to explore beyond what they have previously, always pushing the envelope. I think it’s great, honestly. Eventually, life will be like star trek :)
