What does it mean when I drool ?

Well , I looked up drooling on the internet, I couldnt find anything that I could relate to. Normally when im really sleep deprived , or exhausted , when I sleep in the morning my pillows wet and mouths open , so its obvious I drool ! Any other explanations ?

According to an article published in the Arizona Republic, lots of people drool. And, it has a medical name: sialorrhea.

Here’s why it happens, according to the article:

“Your brain really isn’t quite as smart as it likes to go around telling you it is. It occasionally forgets to do stuff, such as tidying up around your body. You produce more saliva when you’re awake than when you’re sleeping, and you politely swallow it so you don’t go around dribbling on yourself or on other people. You still produce saliva when you’re asleep, but your brain sometimes forgets to tell your throat and mouth muscles to swallow. So the stuff pools up in your cheeks and eventually comes seeping out…”…Lovely.

While drooling is usually no biggie (aside from being kind of annoying), health experts say it could signal a health problem (the the chances are slight). Another weird fact: Drooling is more common in pregnancy (another fabulous symptom to add to the list).

hope this helps
