What does heartburn feel like?

???

Answer #1

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

If you think you are occasionally getting heart burn, keep a bottle of Tums on hand and take 2 or 3 tablets (they’re chew-able) at the first sign.

If it’s happening to you around bed time, then stop eating or drinking liquids about 2 hours before bed time.

If it becomes a frequent problem then start taking OTC Prilosec or see a doctor for a similar acid inhibitor by prescription.

Serious untreated heart burn is a serious problem and can lead to cancer of the esophagus besides also being able to rot your teeth.

I guess I have been getting it then. I think im pregnant and that was one of the symptoms and I wasnt sure what it felt like so I didnt know if I was having it or not. Does it last long? Cause what I think is “heartburn” only last minutes if that.

Answer #3

a hear burn is a feeling of “burning” sensation at the mouth of the stomach “behind the lower part of the chest bone” due to acid reflux

Answer #4

Painful buzzing/burning/maybe stabbing feelings around the area of the heart. May be associated with other types of indigestion such as ‘belching’ up acidic tasting stuff. Unpleasant but not dangerous in itself. Have you been getting it? I did when I was pregnant. Nasty.

Answer #5

It burns, and it usually starts to come up your throat. It can be extremely painful.

Answer #6

It burns, in your heart :)
