What does "doing coffee off the ground" mean?

Well me friend said it and I was all like eh? Does anybody know what it means? Because I have no clue!!

I think he may have mispoke. “Get your coffe off the ground” Was an older, not very common saying telling someone to be more productive.

The old way to dry coffee beans was to place them on the ground in the sun. This leads to inferior drying as opposed to getting the beans off the ground and drying them on a tarp, rack or nets leading to dryer beans from the fields.
