im not a fan of shinedown,but im gunna listen to the song. Give you my feelings! Ok,you gotta really look at the lyrics and think about them. About death,your friend is right. but it goes a little depper than that,this person must be depressed and mortified with life. My guessing is that he is killing himself with sh*t around him. Read the lyrics,that will help a lot. I hope I sorta helped,Lol :]

I don’t really listen to Shinedown,I haven’t ever heard this song,but I just read the lyrics and listened to the song. To me,it sounds like he’s talking about a guy who was different and trying to change the world,for the better and no one would let him be him and didn’t care what he was trying to do to help.

-but then again,I don’t know for sure. This is just what I think based on the lyrics. Songs can be taken into ways.
