your user name says it all!!!

I think you need to speak to your family about this and get some serious psychological help! cutting is NOT a good thing, nor is it safe! you never know if one day you go a little too far and loose to much blood which may be fatal! how do you think your family would feel? they love you!!! they wouldnt want anything bad to happen to you, and if you have issues in your soul (which clearly you do) then you need to get them sorted out some how!

I hope you can find the strength inside of you to get through this and sort things out,! never forget that we are all put on this earth for a purpose, to make something great of our lives! it just takes hard work, dont spoil the one life you have!!! live it to the full!! without the cutting!!!

all the best

I think there are a lot of people out there who cut because they want to be seen as troubled cause they think thats ‘cool’. well its not… its frickin retarded. There are way too many people out there feeling sorry for themselves and who are willing to do anything for a little attention.

Someone who cuts because of serious mental health problems will not go around showing off that they cut, they will endeaver to hide their scars. People who show off their cuts or make it know they cut may aswell be throwing a little kiddie tantrum on the floor of the cereal aisle in the shopping centre, it amounts to the same thing.

I havent cut for a year now you just need to find something that motivates you to stop I know how addictive it is and how little it can take to push you off the edge sometime but it was my boyfriend who helped me stop I saw how much it hurt him when I did it and that made me realise that I wasnt just doing it to myself I was doing it to him to … I know its hard to stop but really its better in the long run I have awful scars now and I hate when people ask questions about it, but when I think about how long I’ve gone now without having to go back to it it makes me really proud hopefully if your able to break the habit then you’ll feel this too.

This is kinda is abusing drugs bad kinda question. Well you’re injuring your body so yeah it’s bad. It’s addictive, so yeah it’s bad. And what does out of hand mean? Accidents happen… people end up in the hospital all the time… this isnt something you can control (I know from first hand experience).

You need to talk to a professional if you really want to stop. It isnt just about the cutting (it never is), you need to figure out why you have the urge to cut, and how to deal with those emotions in a healthier way…

But I know that is hard, so in the meantime, there’s tips to stopping here, look under self help http://www.palace.net/~llama/psych/injury.html

cutting is addicting, I’ve cut since the 7th grade & now im a senior so its been six years & my parents have never found out. I do think It’s bad like you said when it gets out of hand like cutting for someone to feel sorry for you just to get attention thats bad but if it relieves your stress & your not hurting anyone else then to me its ok. cutting is like a pain killer like alcohol & drugs it numbs your pain.
