How do we tell our parents that I'm pregnant?

I’m 17 and I am sure I’m pregnant. My boyfriend and I are happy but because we’re not 18 we are riddled with guilt for one another and we are scared that our family will force us to stay away from one another and we have been in love for over 7 years now. HOW DO WE BREAK THIS TO THEM?

You made a grown-up decision (to have sex) with grown-up consequences (baby)…..the most important question here: what is BEST for this baby ?…..marriage ?….adoption ?….how do I/we support ?….how does this change my/our future plans ?….you’ve got to know the answers to these questions going in….it won’t be easy, this will take time, but you must be adult about this and call a meeting with your parents….it’ll be a shock, but remember they love you….this is not ‘end of the world news’….it’s a new life….be strong, for ‘this too will pass’….I wish you every happiness in your life….you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

OK i waited a while to tell you guys this im sorry my computer wasnt working for all of you who had such great advice thank you for your input but i found out not 2 long ago that IM NOT pregnant like i thought . I dont know what happened to my body at that time i have thoughts as to what hapened but im not gonna go there soooo im sorry to have you guys wondering for so long but the truth is im not pregnant after all and for those who are younger than 17 i think that you need to rethink what you want if your planning on getting pregnant or if your having unprotected sex because once your parents find out your most likealy going to be downd and punished and you will feel so bad about your sexuality that you might rethink about the subject of sex all to gether. Trust me it happened to me I DONT WANT IT TO HAPPEN TO YOU . I DONT WANT YOU TO GO THROUGH THE SAME CRAP I DID . i cant stress that to you more but, its your decission i cant make it for you but i can give you some good advice on what you might have to deal with in the future.

That is a horrible thing 13579 said! That person is obviously not reading the Bible we know of. God is here for everyone no matter what. I also got pregnant when I was 17. The important thing now is to not freak out. There is now beautiful life growing inside you. It will be hard I am not going to lie, but it is so worth it. My daughter is now 10 years old. I would not trade anything I went through. My advice would be to be with this guy if you love him, but don’t rush anything like marriage. There is plenty of time for that when you are older. You do not have to get married just because your pregnant. That is a mistake a lot of girls make. Try to enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible, I know there will be stress, but remember your baby feels everything. You will do fine. Your parents will adjust. I hope all is well. Good Luck!
