what do I do about my worry that the Pill didn't work?

ok. so. heres the deal. it was about 3 days before my period and my boyfriend fingered me, maybe too hard becasue as he was fingering me I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen and could go no further, I stoppped him immediately and could barely walk the pain was so bad. I put up a face for my mom but went srtaight to bed. a few days later I got my period, then my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time. It was in the shower and he did not cum in me (unless you consider pre-cum). I did get him off once before he entered me but he washed off in the shower before going inside me. it hurt as he went in deep, I am not a virgin so I know it wasnt that, I thought maybe my cervix might be hard but I am not sure what happens to it during your menstruation or I know it is sopposed to soften if you are aroused but I guess it didnt? I dunno. the next day my period stopped! and I was only 2 or 3 days into it…usually it lasts 5 days if not more. so I went to target with my boyfriend and I took the Next Choice pills, both at the same time as the farmacy dud suggested. but as the warning indicates side-effects, I had none! I was perfectly fine which made me worry if it had even worked. my period still had not resumed and it had now been two days since I had sex and one since I took the pills, today I got a head-ache that lasted about all day…but it has begun to subside and besides that im fine!…I am only worried that the pill didnt work…I dont know! help!

Okay so first of all your first problem. If the pain in you abdomen has stopped I would not worry to much about it. I have had several similar experiences and it turned out just to be what you expected, just a little bit to ruff!. Secondly about the pain whilst having sex I would not worry personaly, most likely it is due to the fact that you needed to wait a little while after the fingering incident. I would maybe give it a week before trying anything again and see what happens after that If it is still uncomftable it could be best that you visit your GP, to be on the safe side. The problem with the next choice pill, if you have not experienced side effects it does not mean that it has not worked, many people take them and do not experience anything whereas some women that do take them do. As long as you took the pill during the time frame and took it correctly the probability of it not working is rather slim. I would consider however that you do not have unprotected sex again more that anything to save you the agro every month, and for your mental health aswell, as I personally remember worry for a entire month several times before my period came and rushing out to the farmacy the first day I was slightly late. If you do not want to use condoms go on the pill, its just as effective if taken everyday and you can get it prescribed by your GP.

So in all I think you should be fine wright now. if you are still worried wait a couple of weeks and take a pregnancy test just to reasure yourself and calm the nerves :). Go to your GP and start taking the pill if not condoms but I really would advise you to use some kind of protection as the withdraw effect is not the best option:). If you dont want you mum to know you are taking the pill I am pretty sure that if you are over 16 you are able to go to your GP by yourself and get it but dont be afraid to tell your mum, I remember telling mine. at first I will admit that it is very cringy having to tell your mum but she will understand that you are taking responsability. Good luck and dont stress to much!! :)

Pre-cum is just as viable a source of semen as the full ejaculation. Some studies show that it is actually semen from the pre-cum that often fertilizes the egg. If you are really afraid of impregnation but do not want to go celebate, then you should use as many safeguards as you can. The pill, condoms, and even a diaphragm with a spermacide. This can really put a drag on spontanaety, but it’s nothing compared to unwanted pregnancy. Also, STD’s can only be prevented with a condom. I know that you believe that you are safe from that regardless, but so thought the millions and millions of people who now have Syphillis, Herpes, Chlamydia, etc. Be safe, and have fun. In that order.

Hey! The shower penis clean will not remove the semen that is still in his plumbing inside. It will still ooze out for awhile. But as long as he goes and pee then it will be safer.
