What do I do about my Microsoft word?

This happened a few years ago and I normalized it, but it came back again and I don’t remember what I did. Okay, here’s the situation, whenever I double click on Word, when the document comes up, When I go to type, the cursor starts at the very top of the page and there’s a Black line on the page. Can anyone help. If you need a better description, let me know. thanks.

Try going to “view”, then click on “print layout”.

From the sound of it, your layout is in “normal” view, and that’s how it looks.
