What can my friend do?

Okay, so my friend, Flo, liked this guy and that guy told her that he also liked her, so, at school at recess time they two were alone and then she came to us and told us that everything was just a bet. She felt awful and then she told us that she hated him forever. But, then some friends of that guy told us THAT REALLY REALLY that guy liked her and now my friend doesn’t want to talk to him anymore but they told us that the guy she liked likes her.
