what can make a pregnance test wrong?
I drank a 1 liter of mountin dew then I toulk a pregnance test and it said I was not pregnant, did the mountin dew mess up the test results?
if the test is contaminated with another substance or you are only a few weeks pregnant it can show as negative because the hormone the test looks for is not yet showing, if the test said positive it is proberly correct.
No. Im almost sure thats not possible. Home pregnancy tests are usually very accurate but there is a TINY chance that you got a false reading. Go to your docter and get a test he’ll be able to tell you for sure whether you are or not. Xo:)
The fact that it was Mountain Dew wouldn’t have effected anything, but using urine diluted with a lot of liquid, any liquid, could give you a false result. Pregnancy tests detect hormones in your urine, and the higher the concentration, the more accurate the result. That’s why most tests advice you to use your first morning urine, as the hormones are most highly concentrated after not peeing all night.
