Thank You, help mommie. :)

Over the years I worked at the humane society, dairies milking cows, I took in strays and tamed wild kittens and adopted them to good homes, grew up on a hobby farm, always had animals, but wanted to do more,,,my desire to have a job that I can actually wake up everyday to and know I am doing something I chose and love and still be able to support my family on. PPlove, you can do it..just sit down, talk it over with your hubby, financial help and loans, svholarships are out there…The program I am in will take me a little over 2 years is all…think back two years ago…if you dont do it now, another two years will pass ya by and you could already be on your way… When I told my kids I was going back, my 17 yr old told me, “finally Mom, you are doing what you have always talked about and wanted to, I am proud of you”(that alone meant the world to me) …and when I told her my fears of some clases, like math , she said, “you know Mom why you have never ben good at math?, because you THINK you cant do it”…and she was right…its not an east class for me and it has been tough, but I ended up last quorter with a B in it and there are always tutors for ANY help you need inj College…

I hope you go ahead and persue this dream in one way or another…you wont regret doing it, but you may regreat not trying. :)

If you want a real stable career, not just a lower manager or poop scooper, I’d suggest becoming a veterinary technician. They are in high demand, like nurses for people.

It’s not too late to go to school for a career with animals!! 30 is young! There is a girl here on FA who just started back to school to be a Vet Tech…she’s 35…& will be done in 2 years…

Start looking on the internet for Vet Tech schools…and see if there is a way for you to get funding…or a loan…You’ll be so glad you did.

So what!! You’re 30yrs young and if you want to work with animals then do what’s going to make you happy. It’s never too late to go back to school. If you want something enough then you should got for it! Anyone can go back to school at any age. It’s hard to find free time to volunteer but hey why not make some money doing what you love. I dropped out of school the first month of tenth grade (a new baby)and I was so afraid of going back… but I enrolled 18months ago at age 30 with 6 kids.. (3 of my own and 3 that I help raise) I was afraid to death. But my first year my grade point average was a 3.7. puglover’s right, you at least have to try…u can do it!! ~ puglover, congrats on your new found life!! ~~I wish both of you many blessings!!

Try your best to find somewhere where you can do a bit of volunteer work with animals-shelters, for example, usually take as many volunteers as they can get. Veterinary clinics also sometimes take volunteers. I’m sure it’s not to late to go back to college either-you could take a veterinary technician program or something similair. You could also advertise yourself as a pet sitter or dog walker-you might want to take a class in animal first aid, that will be good on your resume. Good Luck!!! I’m an animal-lover too. :)
