What can I do to fix the keloid on my tragus piercing?

Ok I got my tragus pierced like 2 months ago and I’ve had a lot of problems with it but now I’ve got this keloid on the outside it doesnt really hurt but people keep mentioning it telling me it looks really bad and I dont know what to do I dont really want to take it out so what can I do to help get rid of it?

Well first of all if it is a true keloid it is NOT an infection as jimmy stated. It is a form of scarring and it is never really guranteed to reduce in size. One thing that both me and mister have used is crushing up ibuprofen and putting a slight bit of water in it to make it like pasty and putting it on keloid type growths and both of ours both went down in size.

Don’t take it out cause you might trap infection in the piercing after it’s healed and this will lead to even more problems. Go to the doctors and ask if there are any lotions you can put on it and maybe if it is that bad then you’ll have to take it out until the keloid is gone.

The doctor should perscribe you a cream for it or he/she’ll tell you what it is called and you can get some over-the-counter medication. Hope things go well!
