Can Being Around or smoking menthol Cigarettes cause hives? I have tried eliminating different food I've been eating or medications but they're not anything different from everyday.
Hives can be caused by anything you're allergic too, and allergies can develop at any time. If you're only developing them in certain spots, you might have a skin allergy to what you're wearing, or a detergent or fabric softener.
They absolutely can be caused by smoking (or 2nd hand smoke)! My ex used to smoke around me all of the time, and if I didn't go get fresh air, I would develop hives all over my throat and chest. (and my face would swell a little)
I've had hives before from being in a room where my aunt smoked like some monster. So it certainly can.
